Board members are unpaid volunteers and elections are held annually.  There is currently no fixed term and the board may elect a new member at any time. As a young organization, we are actively seeking additional board members who can bring specialized knowledge and expertise to the organization as we grow.

We accept individual, foundation and corporate gifts and will accept contributions that are “earmarked” for specific projects or services.  We always have several families in need of assistance and we can arrange a long term financial support relationship between donors and specific families if need be.

Federal Tax Exempt ID/EIN: 27-1607659.  Help Our Wounded is a registered “trade name” of Healing American Heroes, Inc., a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization (under IRS regulations).  Our primary mission is charitable and educational work.  We are registered with all states as required.   A copy of the Help Our Wounded financial statement is available upon request.  We recommend that donors discuss deductibility with their tax advisors.  Some corporate gifts may also be deductible.
